Dr. Toni Moritz

Dr. Toni Moritz is a graduate from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine (WCVM). Prior to pursuing veterinary medicine, she graduated from the University of Winnipeg with a Bachelors of Science. Growing up she always loved animals and spent many years volunteering at a shelter in Winnipeg. In vet school her passion for zoo, exotic and wildlife animals grew and she realized she wanted to pursue it further. After graduation she successfully completed a year long specialty internship at the WCVM in Zoological, Exotic and Wildlife medicine.

Dr. Moritz has worked with a number of different animals including; small mammals (ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs, rodents), reptiles, amphibians, birds and even the occasional fish. She loves working with all wildlife, and spent some time at a large wildlife center in Virginia during vet school. Dr. Moritz is very excited to be able to continue that work with the Wildlife Rehab organization that Whyte Ridge is associated with. On top of all the other species, she is very excited to be seeing cats and dogs as well!

Outside of work Dr. Moritz enjoys spending time outdoors and is looking forward to exploring Manitoba after being gone for five years. At home she loves cooking, drawing and spending quality time with her two cats, Windsor and Kitten.
