Dr. Val Dirdala

Ever since I can remember I have loved nature and animals and I diligently started bringing home all of them, to my parents' delight, as we were living in a small apartment on the fifth floor. From sparrow babies to hedgehogs, snakes, dogs, and cats - everybody was welcome.

After finishing high school I knew there was only one thing I could do, which was look after and work with animals, so I became a Veterinarian. That was the best decision I could have made and I have to say after all these years, I still love my job!

I graduated from University in 1997 and moved to Canada from Romania. It was the right decision and after all these years I am very proud to be Canadian - what an amazing country and people!

Over the last 25 years I have had the opportunity to work and specialize with some amazing Veterinarians both in large and small animal practice. I have special interests in Surgery, Dentistry, Medicine, and especially Preventive Medicine.Beside that I have to say that after all these years the most valuable lessons I have learned are to be kind and patient.

My other passion besides work is my family and our pets. They are a part of everything I do and they teach me a wealth of lessons that I couldn't have learned from any other place.

In my spare time I am outdoors enjoying amazing kayaking, hiking, and skiing trips in this incredible Canadian landscape. Discovering the Canadian wild was a childhood dream that I am extremely fortunate to live.
